In the spring, I feed the bees only with honey supplements. Yes, it's expensive. Some might say that honey should be sold, and that it's better to feed the bees with syrup and protein supplements. How you feed is up to you, but I feed honey supplements. I'm not advocating for anyone else to do the same—I'm simply sharing my experience at my apiary.
