In this tutorial you’ll learn how to use the SUMIF VS the SUMIFS functions in Excel. SUMIF is used when you have one condition. SUMIFS is used when you have more than one condition. Excel gives the ability to do calculations using various functions with these conditions using a boolean operator.
For the example I used where we wanted to sum dollar amount of apples using a date range the function argument would look as follows:
**youtube wouldn't let me put in the actual greater than or less than sign so I typed it out. Please change these arguments according to you excel data.**
SUMIFS:
Sum_range: H2:H200
Criteria_range1: F2:F200
Criteria1: "apples"
Criteria_range2: B2:B200
Criteria2: "greater than sign="&M10
Criteria_range3: B2:B200
Criteria3: "less than sign="&N10
SUMIF (one criteria)
Range: F2:F200
Criteria: "apples"
Sum_range: H2:H200
