The Delimited File Source in Astera Centerprise provides the functionality to read data from a delimited file. Delimited files are one of the most commonly used data formats and use specific characters or delimiters such as comma, tab, semi colon, etc. to separate records and indicate the structure of the table in which the data resides.
Astera Centerprise also has a built-in Delimited File destination object using which users can map and write data from any source or transformation to a delimited target and generate a delimited (.csv) file.
In this video, we walk you through the process of extracting data from a delimited file using the Delimited File Source object and loading flat-structure data onto a delimited file using the Delimited File Destination object in Astera Centerprise.
We will cover:
Delimited File Source – a high-speed, built-in reader to read and extract data from delimited files in Centerprise
Delimited File Destination – a built-in component to map data to a delimited target
Data extraction using the delimited file source object
Specifying field and record delimiters
delimited data preview
Mapping a flat structure dataset to Delimited File Destination
Configuring the properties of Delimited File Destination object
