This Lecture contains that: how to save data in files on hard disk or secondary memory which can be achieved only by file management. Operations of file management are:
• Naming of File
• Opening File
• Closing File
• Reading Data from File
• Writing Data into File
Predefined functions of file Management are:
fopen() : Opening File
fclose() : Closing File
getc() / putc():Reading & Writing character from/into File
getw() / putw():Reading & Writing integer from/into File
fscanf() / fprintf(): Reading & Writing integer from/into File
fseek(): Sets the cursor to desired location in the File
ftell(): Gives the current location of cursor in the File
rewind(): Sets the cursor to the beginning of the File
File Opening Modes:
w : Write only mode
r : Read only mode
a : Append mode (add at end)
Extensions of above modes are:
w+ : Write + read
r+ : Read + write
a+ : Append (r+w
