18, Online SolidWorks – Free Form Sketch with Arcs and Lines – Reference Geometry – Define As You Go
18, Online SolidWorks Class. Modeling Basics - In this video we will show you how to sketch a freeform design made of just lines and arcs as opposed to simple circles and rectangles. The method is to fully define your lines and arcs, using reference sketch geometry, from the very beginning and building on this fully defined geometry as you go. We will visit Centerlines with midpoints, 3 Point Arc, Model Line, Angle Smart Dimension, Tangent Arc with options Centerpoint Arc, Radius Smart Dimension, Tangent line, Coincident sketch relation to the vertical Centerline, Mirror Sketch Entity and Symmetric sketch relations. We will also create some common errors, learn how to fix them and then how to validate your enclosed sketch geometry before you extrusion.
