There are around 2.5 million people in the UK living with common autoimmune diseases, including Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.
Stroke Association funded researcher, Dr South, believes these people are at greater risk of suffering a stroke, because of the way their blood clots. The answers he’s looking for – about preventing these strokes – could lie in our blood.
