The top story of the broadcast was Major League Baseball’s San Diego Padres cutting ties with Diamond Sports Group, the parent company of Bally Sports San Diego, resulting in MLB taking over the production and distribution of Padres games going forward. Diamond Sports Group had earlier filed for bankruptcy, and has had a number of contracts with major league sports teams terminated or not renewed.
