change between "classic" and "Unity" menus in Ubuntu using Log Out. This is a good way to phase into using the new Unity menu. You might even come to like it. It has been improved and probably will improve some more for tablet and multitouch use. It takes 5 or 10 seconds to go back and forth between the Unity and Regular (old but comfortable) menu.
