This project is funded by the FP7 with the objective of researching, developing and evaluating information management solutions for big data problems in the field of the digital cinema production. The GTI has been working for three years in this project together with the University of Surrey, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Brno University of Technology, Double Negative Double Effects and Filmlight Limited. To illustrate the results achieved a video has been produced, showing the tools, features and results of IMPART.
The video is divided in three parts. Part one is about the capture session done at the University of Surrey. The IMPART team recorded test data to prove the integration of the developed tools. Part two is about the use of the tools developed by FilmLight in real production environments from companies such as Double Negative. An interview was recorded with the two industrial partners, speaking about the use of Flux manage in Double Negative’s network. Part three comments briefly the special session that took part in ICIP 2015, one of the major forums of image processing and computer vision in the world. The IMPART team presented 10 papers in these dedicated special sessions.
