I built a real website with ChatGPT… and I don’t know how to code.
The surprising part wasn’t that AI wrote the code.
It was how little technical knowledge I actually needed.
I started with nothing but an idea.
No HTML. No CSS. No web development experience.
Just a description of what I wanted the site to feel like.
The first version was rough.
But that turned out to be the most important part of the whole process.
Instead of hunting for the perfect prompt, I treated ChatGPT like a creative collaborator, pushing back, refining, and directing it until the site finally felt right.
Then I published it.
And something that only existed in my head was suddenly live on the internet.
That experience revealed something bigger about AI:
The real skill isn’t just knowing how to prompt.
It’s knowing what you want… and having the judgment to keep refining until it works.
That’s what AI literacy looks like in practice.
