The Chinese smart home platform "Tuya" is now widely used in many devices from China. While it was previously mostly used with ESP8266 and ESP32, Tuya now also offers its own hardware. This is bad news for hobbyists, as it can no longer be freed from the manufacturer's cloud using alternative ESP firmware like Tasmota or ESPHome. Fortunately, the OpenBeken project, also known as OpenBK7231T, promises a solution.
While it was previously mostly used with ESP8266 and ESP32, Tuya now also offers its own hardware. Contents:

The devices shown were purchased and paid for by me. If you have the option, I recommend choosing devices with a "classic" ESP8266 or ESP32, as these have significantly broader software support.
