Making Modern Music - Avoiding Cliche Transitions
Transitions are parts of a track that create anticipation and propel the track forward into the next section. There are some standard transitions, such as the white noise riser, that are this point so overused that a creative person (like myself) feels the need to come up with fresh transitions.
While there are many tools for generating risers and impacts, I'm presenting some ideas that one can achieve within any standard DAW for creating transitions that aren't cliche, but still do the job of creating palpable anticipation! Let's open it up...
