Since Ghana’s discovery of oil in 2007, the Port of Takoradi in the Western Region has had to adjust in attempts to cater for its local oil and gas industry, this has necessitated a redevelopment of a fully automated oil jetty.

Ibistek Limited, a wholly owned Ghanaian company in a concession agreement with Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority within the course of expanding the Port of Takoradi is developing an ultra modern oil jetty in Sekondi Takoradi, in the Western Region of Ghana.

Previously able to discharge about 20,000 tonnes a day, the automated oil jetty would be capable of handling quantities in excess of 80,000 tonnes a day.

The construction of this ultramodern oil jetty that will aid in making Ghana’s economy work again.
