In this video I said cloud lifer but meant fathead :)
This is my second preliminary test of the 512 Audio Limelight which is a dynamic broadcast type microphone, much in the vein of the Electro-Voice RE20, at least as far as looks are concerned.
The typical use for the 512 Audio Limelight would be as a podcast microphone or vlogging microphone, or even just a general dialogue voice microphone for stuff like YouTube videos and most spoken word applications. It may well work fine with certain musical instruments, especially for close mic'ing high sound pressure level instruments. Although for me, this will only be used for dialogue and voice recording.
This test is using the Limelight with a Triton Fethead that's being powered and further amplified by a Behringer UV1. This is a very quiet signal path, although this signal path costs more than the microphone.
