Hi Guys!
Recently my friends at Geeetech sent me their new Geeetech, Giantarm D200 3D Printer to Unbox and Review. This was sent to the channel free of charge and no money has exchanged hands. I was told to give a full and honest review of this unit. I would also like to invite you to also follow my friend Joe the 3D Maker Noob. He recently received the same printer and unboxed it live! Please check out his video here: • Geeetech Giantarm D200 Unboxing and Test
As you can see from this video the unit came well packaged and protected very well for shipping. It was easily set up for the first print.
During the print the hot end lost temperature 2 times within a few minutes of each other. Following this video I found the detachable hot end had loosened during shipping. I was able to reseat the hot end since and it is printing great! The video showing how to reseat the hot end and a more detailed leveling guide will be coming out by the end of this week.
My initial impressions are positive. While my faith was shaken during the 2 problems during printing, I was also relieved that I was able to restart the print without having to start over from the beginning. I am even further relieved to have found the issue with the hot end without much trouble.
More videos will be coming soon as I test different features and test the printing capabilities of this printer.
