How to Add Extension in Chrome Android !
In this video, we guide you through how to add extensions to Chrome on Android. Unlike on desktop, the regular Google Chrome app for Android does not support extensions directly. However, there is a workaround using Chromium-based browsers that are built to allow extension installation on Android devices.
The standard Chrome app you download from the Play Store doesn’t support Chrome Web Store extensions. To work around this, you’ll need to install a Chromium-based browser like Kiwi Browser, which is specifically built to run Chrome extensions on Android. This browser uses the same core engine as Chrome and allows access to the Chrome Web Store, enabling you to add and manage extensions similar to how you would on a desktop.
First, download Kiwi Browser from the Google Play Store. Once installed, open the browser and visit the Chrome Web Store by typing https://chrome.google.com/webstore into the address bar. You may need to switch to desktop mode from the browser menu to properly view and interact with the site.
Search for the extension you want—for example, uBlock Origin, Dark Reader, or Grammarly. Once you find it, tap on 'Add to Chrome' and confirm the installation. The browser will download and install the extension automatically. After installation, you can manage your extensions by tapping the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and selecting 'Extensions.'
