Chippewar create Indigenous pop art in Toronto
Jay Soule is an Indigenous artist in Toronto who goes by the name of Chippewar. He got his start in the tattoo industry and spent a decade inking clients before becoming a multimedia artist. Soule creates pop art across multiple mediums as a way to bring awareness to Indigenous issues stemming from years of injustice.
