The Floss Rule- Part 2
.double “f” words - huff, puff, staff
double “l” words - hill, pill, stall
double “s” words - grass, miss, boss
double “z” words - buzz, fizz, jazz
In short, the FLOSS rule states that in:
a single syllable word with a single short vowel (closed syllable)
where the vowel is immediately followed by f, l, s or z
and only by f, l, s or z
