Die Flora Linux Libre - Distribution
Hello and welcome to this video in the new year.
After the New Year's video for 2026, I started looking for new desktop environments. I searched for a MATE desktop environment using Distrowatch. I searched for a MATE desktop environment, and that's how I came across this distribution. I downloaded the XFCE desktop environment, and I also showed this desktop in the video.
In my opinion, the distribution is more or less the XFCE variant. I find the distribution to be rather simply designed. At least, that's the impression I get.
Unfortunately, I can't say much about the error during installation. It could be due to the distribution itself, which I suspect, since I experienced the same issue with Ubuntu MATE and Q4OS Andromeda Trinity. With those distributions, no error message appeared, nor did any other problems occur after installation. This happened with both the hard drive and other distributions. So, the error message must be coming from the Flora Linux Libre distribution.
... In conclusion, I'd like to say that the distribution is still buggy. I just want to say that, all things considered, it's worth taking a look at, but I would perhaps wait.
Did I mention that the distribution is from Japan?
