Not a simple homemade workbench, working with a facade.

The video series on setting up the main workbench continues.

Yes, there's still a lot of work to be done. And at this stage, we'll address the issue of the workbench's appearance. Oddly enough, the choice fell on laminate, and not just any laminate, but PVC. I simply liked it and decided to focus on it. As for THAT, I've run into a ton of problems, since it needs to be glued to laminated plywood, and both of these materials are clearly averse to glue, ignoring and underestimating it. So, first, we're solving the problem of gluing two complex materials together.
While testing adhesives, I'm installing a couple of decorative elements in the workbench—blind façade pieces, so to speak—to which the new workbench layout will be attached.
A little about the contents, or more precisely, the equipment planned for installation in the workbench. I envision it being extremely practical and functional, and what functionality would it have without chip collection? So the main criterion is vacuum cleaners inside the workbench. And yes, it might not be the best solution, but that's how it's going to be for now. And since the workbench has a built-in circular saw and router table, I'm installing two vacuum cleaners.
And finally, the tabletop. Everything has arrived: I can cut the rails, adjust the fences, install the vise, figure out the workpiece clamping system, and varnish the tabletop.
I've been waiting for this bright day for two weeks, and now it's finally here. The tabletop is ready, ready for the next renovation, of course.

PS// As usual, I'll be sharing all the workflow issues and problems. It's not a bright, colorful video where everyone is doing everything perfectly, learning and mastering... and, of course, making mistakes.
