Why I Chose to Delete My Community Discord Server
At the end of June 2026, I deleted my community Discord server. I had only launched it in 2025 and unfortunately, it was not being utilized in the manner intended.
As a homeless digital nomad, I do need assistance. However, the channels in my server were frequently being used to solicit help for me, despite repeated requests to move the communication to private chat. In addition, I was continuing to stay in some bad habits myself with some of the similar requests, and I need to break those habits myself.
I do however plan on launching a new community discord in August 2026. I'd like to use the time away to reflect on what would bring the most value to the folks in my community and how I can use the server to stay in touch and engage with my online friends.
Thank you all so much for following along my story and continuing to support me, even through my declining health. I cannot thank you all enough and I look forward to something even better down the road.
