Full Version. The Moscow Metro is famous for its grand architecture, often called an underground museum. The Koltsevaya Line (Circle Line) is one of its most important routes, connecting major railway stations and making transfers between lines easy. Opened in the 1950s, it features some of the most ornate stations, with chandeliers, mosaics, and marble columns. The line plays a key role in reducing congestion by allowing passengers to travel around the city center without going through it.
