CRISPY ONION RINGS
Ingredients
• 1 large onions (cut into thick rings)
• 12/ cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup cornstarch
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
• 1/2 cup cold water or 1/2 cup cold milk
• 1 egg (optional, for thicker batter)
• Cooking oil (for deep frying)

Instructions
1. Prepare the onions
• Slice onions into ½-inch thick rings.
• Separate each ring carefully.
2. Make the batter
In a bowl, whisk:
• 1/2 cup flour
• 12/ cup cornstarch
• Salt
• black pepper &
• Add cold water (or cold milk) gradually until you get a slightly thick pancake-like batter.
• Add 1 egg if you want a crunchier, richer coating.
3. Coat the onion rings
• Dip each onion ring into the batter.
• Let excess drip off.
4. Fry
• Heat oil (medium-high).
• Fry onion rings until golden and crispy, around 2–3 minutes.
• Do not overcrowd the pan.
5. Drain and serve
• Place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
• Serve with garlic mayo, cheese dip, or ketchup.

🔥 Tips for Extra Crisp
• Make the batter cold (mas crispy).
• Oil should be hot enough (around 180°C) before frying.
• For super crispy style, after dipping in batter, roll the rings in breadcrumbs then fry.
