How To Hide Your YouTube History
0:00 If you'd like to hide your YouTube history from the front of your YouTube channel, then this video is for you.
0:29 When you set up your YouTube channel, the default settings on it have your history on the front. So, we're going to head over and I'm going to show you the two checkboxes you need to check in order to hide it of the front of your channel.
0:44 Here I am in a channel and I've been looking up some really cool videos and now they've appeared on the front of my channel. To remove them, all you need to do is to go
up to where your name is, here, and then click on this little pencil icon, right there.
0:59 Then click on 'Edit Channel Navigation.' On this window, now you'll see in your feed
here, which says you can have your activity appear on your 'Activity Feed'. Now you can
uncheck these.
1:14 But the most important thing you need to do is to click 'Enable' on the browse area, here, which allows you to put up playlists and sections on the front of your channel. So, click on that and then click on 'Save'.
1:27 Now, you'll see that automatically your channel has been changed to include your channel trailer, if you have one, and, then, to add sections here, which you'll see on the front of my channel, on there. So, you can add playlists like I've shown you in a previous video.
1:45 Now, the other thing to do is to go to your name, up here, and then click on YouTube 'Settings' and then click on 'Privacy' on the left hand side. Other things you want to do if you haven't got these checked, is to keep your video likes private and to keep your subscriptions private, as well. And click on 'Save' and you're all done.
2:06 That is how you quickly and easily hide your YouTube history of the front of your YouTube channel. And when you have your channel set up this way, you can actually add sections to your channel, which makes it a lot better looking.
2:19 You can add playlists either of your own videos or other people's videos to the front of your channel and I've shown you how to do that in a previous video.
