In a Siberian fur reserve, sable fur expert Eduard Avdonin is found murdered. Senior prosecutor Dagurova is assigned to investigate the case, and she eliminates various suspects one by one. During her investigation, she discovers that Avdonin himself was a poacher, and ultimately realizes that the crime was committed by the reserve's director, Guy, who was secretly selling fur abroad. Now, not only the investigator's life but also the safety of all witnesses is at risk.
