The original intro uses a Major tetrachord; my version uses an exotic tetrachord with an augmented 2nd from the harmonic minor scale. I mix in a little ‘straight’ to the swing groove. The piece also incorporates a sequence. A slight Erroll Garner influence? Probably!!
Very clever original by Vic Mizzy, who also wrote the ‘Green Acres’ theme.
