How to set up Virtual Desktop in under 5 minutes. In this easy tutorial, you will learn how to set up wireless PCVR gameplay on your Oculus Quest 2 with Virtual Desktop (VD), all explained in under 5 minutes.

Make sure you have a good connection to your headset. I recommend using a Wi-Fi 6 router (https://geni.us/iO8bA Amazon) placed in the same room as your headset.

1. Setup oculus link at least once. Do this by downloading the oculus app (https://www.oculus.com/setup/) onto your PC and connecting your headset to the PC.
2. If you plan on playing steam games, download Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/about/) and SteamVR (https://store.steampowered.com/app/25....
3. Also download the Virtual Desktop streamer app from their website (https://www.vrdesktop.net/), and input your oculus username into the app once it is installed.
4. Buy virtual desktop from the Oculus Quest store.

6. Lastly, make sure the streamer app is open on your PC and that both your headset and PC are connected on the same network, as described before. Then open the virtual desktop app on your quest, and select your computer from the list in the computers tab.
7. To play a game, always open it from the games tab of virtual desktop. Opening games from other sources may cause issues, so always start games from this tab when possible.
8. Once you have a game open, play around with some of the settings to get the best performance possible.
