Dakar 2026 - Extended Highlights Stage 7
Stage 6 of Dakar 2026 brought the first major sand challenge from Hail to Riyadh, with riders and drivers battling the dunes just before the rest day. Defending bike champion Daniel Sanders pushed hard from third, overtaking rivals to lead the special, but a six-minute penalty for exceeding a speed-limited zone reshuffled the results. Honda’s Ricky Brabec took the bike stage win and stays right on Sanders’ heels in the overall standings. In cars, five-time Dakar winner Nasser Al-Attiyah extended his advantage with another strong performance, leading a Dacia 1-2 with Sébastien Loeb. The competitors now head into the rest day before the next big challenge.
