PRF Blumenau: Carnival Educational Operation with Simulators and Traffic Safety Tips!
Carnival holiday weekend is approaching and the Federal Highway Police (PRF) is on BR-470, in front of the shopping mall in Blumenau, with a 100% educational blitz to raise awareness among drivers, truckers and motorcyclists! Rafael Melati, traffic education coordinator of the Federal Highway Police in Santa Catarina, explains everything on Jornal da 106: 3 stations with drunkenness simulation goggles, slalom, a road movie showing real accidents from the region, heartwarming conversations and a clear message – don't use your cell phone, don't drink and drive, take care of your life and the lives of others!
Santa Catarina is one of the states with the most accidents and traffic increases significantly during Carnival. The operation is a joint effort with the Military Police, Fire Department, Civil Defense, Municipal Guard, SENACENAT and more, from 7:30 am to 11:00 am/12:00 pm, with quick stops (maximum 10 minutes), giveaways and a focus on responsibility on the road. Prepare your trip: water, snacks, games for the kids, and zero alcohol while driving!
