Майкл Джексон сочинил песню Loving You в середине 80-х годов и записал ее в студии Red Wing примерно за год до начала сессий альбома Bad.
«Я помню, как мы работали над Loving You. Она была просто чудесной радостной композицией о жизни и любви — очень типичной для Майкла, потому что он так относился к жизни, обладал такой аурой», — вспоминает звукоинженер Мэтт Форджер.
Песню не рассматривали всерьез для альбома Bad. По словам Форджера, Майкл записал демо и больше к нему не возвращался. «Это очень милая песня в духе Майкла Джексона, — соглашается инженер Джон Барнс, — но она не того уровня величия, к которому Майкл стремился в музыке. Эта вещь не была гениальной».(Ой как кто-то не прав! :))
Демо Loving You выпущено в посмертном сборнике Xscape (Deluxe edition) в 2014 году.
