These Russian losses are the accumulation of a multitude of existing problems that are now colliding head-on with a Ukrainian military that has been patient, methodical and infused with billions of dollars of Western military equipment that Russia cannot match.
And without a drastic, and potentially unconventional intervention from Putin, the Ukrainian victories are likely to accelerate, analysts say.
Many of Russia's problems – poor and inflexible leadership, sour troop morale, inadequate logistics and hardware beset by maintenance issues – have been evident since the beginning stages of the war more than seven months ago.
The Russian Army invaded Ukraine on the 24th February 2022. The war has been labeled as a 'special military operation' by Russia's President Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has successfully rallied the international community after the country was invaded by Russia, including US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and others to the cause of freedom and Ukrainian liberation. Dramatic war footage in the war between Russian and Ukraine has surfaced online in recent months that shows intense combat between the two sides. This video will show some of the latest footage from the Russia Ukraine conflict. As well as the support of allies like China, Iran and Belarus. Ukraine on the other hand can count on the support of Turkey, Poland and other NATO allies.
