If you use Google Docs, footnotes are a built-in feature you can take advantage of right away. Here's how to add them to any document, whether you're on the web or using the Google Docs mobile app.
Open Google documents file that you need.
Go to Insert tab at the top tools bar. Choose Footnote from the list. The footnote will appear at the bottom of the list. Add the needed text.
You can also use key combination. Press Ctrl+Alt+F on your keyboard. The footnote will appear at the bottom of the list. Add the needed text.
