Hi Guys!
One of the reasons off camera that I have not been printing with the E180 was the fact the LCD died, or at least would not turn on so I could control the printer.
So I decided to troubleshoot it and try to fix it. After tearing it all apart trying to find the problem and eventually giving up, I accidently...well not really accidently, more like I didn't care what happend at this point, I disconnected the ribbon cable from the LCD and reconnected it while the unit was powered on. It caused it to reset and the LCD came on.
Not only did I print the dog in this video, but while I have been editing this tonight, I have another printing right now while I'm typing this. So it appears to be a lasting fix... at least for now.
My suggestion is if you want to try this, first you do so at your own risk. Second, please don't tear it apart as I did, just use the connector on the board itself. It is much easier and takes a lot less time to do it.
Thank you very much for watching!!!
