French Navy's new FDI frigate visits Sweden 🇫🇷 🇸🇪
Coverage of the port call of French frigate "Amiral Ronarc'h" (D660) to Gothenburg, Sweden. We interviewed the Commanding Officer, Captain Guiraud, on the shakedown cruise he and his crew are currently conducting with the brand new frigate. "Amiral Ronarc'h" is the first ship in a new class of advanced, first rank, surface combatants designed for the French Navy as well as for export. The port call of the French FDI took place as Sweden is in the final stages of a competitive selection process to procure four new generation frigates for the Royal Swedish Navy in the frame of the Luleå-class frigate program.
At 08:47 we also interview Guillaume Weisrock, VP of sales at Naval Group, about the French shipbuilder's pitch to the Royal Swedish Navy and Scandinavian navies.
