As you can tell, I spent a long time on this description.
Also, due to feedback about notes not being that visible when a ton of things are moving in the background, the background visuals will still remain, but it'll be hidden beneath a Gaussian blur. Hope that helps the visibility of the falling notes. I would have just taken everything out, but that's a bit too boring imo. Anyways, sheets of this are being made by my main transcriber Aki, so hopefully those will be out soon. Sheets for my Raiden Shogun: Nightmare arrangement will also hopefully be out soon as well; my second transcriber Kuudere has been understandably busy lately with school, so sorry about the delay.

Almost two weeks ago, some stranger from my uni sent me a link to my own video saying that they really loved my cover of Qilin's Prance back when Ganyu's 2nd trailer had just released and I was speedrunning everything that could be spedrun (that was 8 months ago; look at me now, doing absolutely nothing lmfao). Well, I had forgotten that I covered it, and the moment I took a listen to my own video again, I...died inside. I guess me from 8 months ago would have happily left out extremely essential parts of the orchestration just to say "I uploaded first, mf," but the current Hayashi DEFINITELY can't stand the thought of that lol. I had gotten into my big bike accident around that time as well, but I never let the thought of redoing this cover escape my mind.
Anyways, here we are: with working hands + arguably healthy mind, and 6 hours of arranging-recording later, we have a new video. In this poorly funded Disney+ production, you will find:
-The fastest (and most) freaking arpeggios/broken chords I have ever put into a video. Most of my efforts were put into rehearsing accuracy, legible dynamic changes, and pedaling when rehashing and gliding through these again and again during arranging. These are probably the highlight of the entire video, and you'll see them throughout.
-Only the second time that I've put melody into the left hand since I'm still new at this, but not in that kind of gratuitous way where you add it in randomly because you've got technique but it makes no sense, musically.
-1:12 might be the coolest thing I've ever thought of. It looks impressive af, but it's actually quite easy once you get the rhythm down (and how to save your stamina for this moment).
-Dynamics and pedaling in general this time are just * chef's kiss * 👌🏽👌🏽
I'm obviously very proud of this work, and I'd love to see your reactions when this goes live. What I'm most excited about, however, is coming back 8 months after today and cringing at this video. Like I've always said to others: "If you're cringing about your past, it means you've improved." That, and "When in doubt, gliss it out," but that's another topic for another day. 🤔
