Odoo is a powerful Open Source framework that is relatively easy to install. In this video we take you through an Odoo installation starting on a clean Ubuntu 20.04 Server. The Odoo Server used in the Installation Tutorial is located on Amazon AWS EC2. For this configuration I used a Medium Ubuntu 20.04 install which includes 2 processors and 4 GB of RAM.

TROUBLESHOOTING ODOO INSTALLATIONS
Only use Ubuntu 20.04 for Odoo 13 & Odoo 14 and above. Older versions of Odoo break when using new Python libraries. Therefore you are better off to use Ubuntu 18.04 or 16.04 for older Odoo installations.
Use copy & paste of the commands to avoid typos
First make sure Odoo can run successfully before setting up config files, NGINX, and SSL.
When in doubt, double check all of the dependencies were successfully installed. This is the problem 90% of the time.
Make sure you are running commands under the right user / environments. Having the wrong Ubuntu user or the environment not in the correct state when you issue commands will 100% for sure mess up your installation.
Stay calm. In this video everything went very smooth. It isn't always like that. When something doesn't work, just stay calm and walk back through the process. In a worst case situation, start working step-by-step from the beginning again.
Don't be afraid to reach out to an expert. One of the biggest mistakes I see is people spending hours and hours trying to just figure it out themselves.
