Telephone scammers – how to avoid their tricks? Hypnologist Ivan Ryabtsev
Recently, the Bank of Russia's press service reported that fraudsters stole approximately 4.8 billion rubles from the bank accounts of individuals and companies in the second quarter of 2024 alone.
Telephone fraud is a new trend.
Almost daily, we hear of pop stars, businessmen, and government officials—people who would be hard-pressed to suspect of a complete lack of logic and critical thinking—falling victim to fraud.
Reading such news, it's hard to even imagine a person—of sound mind and memory—suddenly withdrawing all the money from their accounts and handing it over to a courier, sincerely believing their funds would now be safe.
Wait! So maybe this is the answer—that the person's mind was not sound and their memory was not clear? We decided to investigate: what if fraudsters really are skillfully exploiting the peculiarities of our psyche, influencing it like hypnosis?
