How to make GIFS
In this tutorial, you will be learning how to make gifs! Sorry for any mistakes, please note that I am using photoshop cs5. You can download videos onto your computer from youtube by using keepvid.
Go to file - Import - Video Frames To Layers and Select the video you want to make a gif of
Make sure you select range only (Hold down the Shift key while moving the slider or clicking the arrows), Limit to every 2 frames, Make frame animation
Go to Window - Animation
Select the frames you want to delete
Go to Image - Image Size,
Make the width 500, make sure it's on pixels, leave the height as it is.
Select the Rectangular marquee tool (make sure the style is on normal)
Image - Crop - Right Click: Deselect
Select all layers then change the seconds to 0.1 or to what you want
File - Save for Web & Devices...
Make sure the KB is under 10 MB if you're making the GIF for tumblr
