Chiller approach | Important chiller parameter
Chiller approach is the temperature difference between the water and the refrigerant. Because there are two heat exchangers in a chiller, then we have two types of approach.
Evaporator approach, which is the temperature difference between the chilled supply water and the evaporating refrigerant. And the condenser approach which is the temperature difference between the condenser water leaving the condenser and the condensing refrigerant.
