This is how the following came into being:
1. The Taharet muslugu—a small side faucet next to the toilet.
2. Then the built-in nozzle—the Taharet nozulu—for water to flow directly from the toilet bowl.
Who exactly invented the Taharet nozulu?
There is no specific inventor—it is an evolution of a plumbing idea, not a one-off invention. Around the 1970s, Turkish plumbing manufacturers began producing toilets with a built-in water supply channel from below.
The idea later migrated to Japanese bidet toilets, only with electronics and heated water.
