Secret Weapons | Tracing Circles
The Chase Bliss Dark World and Thermae are some of my favorite pedals for creating a mood. The big, crackling bed under this piece is a Bass VI chord, captured by the Dark World’s Black mode and then left to sit, decay, and slowly fall apart for a few minutes before I hit record. All of these lo-fi guitars mixed into this one are Thermae at full wet w/ a near zero delay time. I’ve always said the LPF on Thermae was my favorite EQ curve and this is proof of that. Even using it to manipulate “dry” tone like this instantly creates a mood. A big mood, as the kids would say. Or maybe used to say. Whatever. If you’ll excused me, I am gonna keep messing with “Thermae as a modulation pedal.”
