Transient Thermal Modeling of PCR Thermocycling Using ANSYS Fluent
This transient thermal model simulates the temperature inside a microreactor for one cycle of polymerase chain reaction, including 1) denaturation, 2) annealing, and 3) extension. The microreactor is uniformly heated from the bottom. The model shows the thermal lag and temperature non-uniformity inside the reactor.
