In this session, Bridget Martin focuses on helping students investigate and compare the impacts of rail networks on societies around the world, in relation to the historical concepts of significance and consequence. With case studies such as the Panama Railroad, the Trans-Siberian railway, the Thai-Burma railway, and others, this webinar is of particular interest for those teaching units relating to globalisation, industrial revolutions and even the World Wars."
