Alongside the 'Justice for RG Kar' campaign, the CITU (Centre of Indian Trade Unions) has called for a 'Fight for Justice.' On one hand, there is a demand for justice regarding the RG Kar incident, and on the other hand, there is a call for a united struggle by workers against state and central government opposition. A worker's meeting of the CITU was held in Baharampur. On Tuesday, the CITU's Murshidabad district worker's meeting took place at Rabindra Sadan. The chief speaker at the meeting was Subhash Mukherjee, President of the CITU West Bengal Committee, and the meeting was attended by All India CITU leader Avas Roy Chowdhury, along with senior and junior leaders and workers of the district. The meeting addressed demands for increased wages for bidi workers, employment opportunities for migrant workers, and allegations of layoffs of midday meal workers. The organization’s leadership called for a united struggle by the district workers and strongly condemned the RG Kar incident, demanding justice.
