😎YO, Was I too fast to judge the traffic AI immediately after the new update? The answer is a massive YES.
In this follow-up video, we are taking a second look at the massive Michigan left intersection to see how the new patch handles it after giving the simulation some time to actually run. It turns out the traffic behavior has improved, but to completely eliminate that annoying last-second lane merging, we have to take matters into our own hands.
I'm showing you the exact steps to build a perfectly flowing intersection using smart lane control, split phasing traffic lights, and direct connections. When that isn't enough, we bring in the big guns: using the Road Builder mod to drop a custom median right in the middle of the road and lowering the speed limit to 50 to force the AI to behave.
We even dive deep into Developer Mode to uncover a hidden "Thanos snap" feature that completely wipes all residents and vehicles from the map to hard-reset the simulation!
