Normally, it’s not possible to copy keyframes back and forth between characters.
This new tool makes it possible. You can copy all standard FKs and IKs between characters. Simply select them, copy them using the Keyframe Copy window, and then paste them anywhere in another character’s timeline. Done! If you have multiple characters that require partially or completely identical motion sequences, this saves a significant amount of time.
A quick tip: You can also use the single-file method within the timeline to save and load an entire animation sequence from another character, but this method overwrites all existing keyframes.
However, if you add another character to the scene and load the animation via Single File here (e.g., from another, previously saved scene), you can then copy it using Keyframe Copy and insert it at exactly the right spot for the desired character without overwriting anything.
