Chapter 4 of Network Programmability and Automation and explain Python from a practical network engineering perspective.

This is not a generic Python tutorial. The focus is on what network engineers actually need to start network automation: Python interpreter basics, data types, strings, lists, dictionaries, conditionals, loops, functions, files, scripts, modules, command-line arguments, and package installation.

We use a real-world scenario where a network engineer needs to work from a Linux jump host, manage multiple routers, switches, and firewalls, generate VLAN commands, clean CLI output, read configuration files, and prepare for tools like Netmiko, NAPALM, Ansible, APIs, YAML, JSON, and XML.

This video is useful for network engineers, security engineers, DevNet learners, CCIE Security candidates, cloud networking learners, and anyone preparing for automation-focused technical interviews.
