Huge EF4 Tornado & Lightning?! 🤯🌪️⚡ Right in front of US!!
We chased this monster EF4 tornado for over 4 hours! Still one of the longest storm chases I have been on. It morphed into all kinds of tornadoes, from a monster wedge, to a cone and finishing off with a rope out.
It sounded like a giant roaring jet engine with winds rushing into this beast. We were able to spend the majority of the chase right beside it.
We caught the tornado near Salina, Kansas, on April 14, 2012.
