Have you struggled with adding multiple files to your Illustrator document? The Place option is here to help! It allows you to bring files from your computer or Creative Cloud into your existing artwork. You can choose to link or embed the selected files, giving you flexibility in managing your assets.
Follow these simple steps to select and place multiple files:
To select files from your computer, choose File Place. If you're using Creative Cloud, choose File Place Open Cloud Document.
Hold Ctrl Windows or Cmd macOS and click to select multiple files.
Choose whether to link or embed your artwork by selecting "Link" or "Show Import Options," respectively.
Click "Place" to proceed.
A display of the selected files will be shown, allowing you to navigate through them using the left and right arrow keys. If there's any unwanted file, you can easily delete it by pressing the Esc key.
To place your selected files, you have two options:
Click anywhere on the artboard to place the files in their original dimensions.
Drag the cursor on the artboard to create a shape. The image will automatically fit into the shape.
