Excel has no bullet button, so most people paste in ugly dashes or give up. In this tutorial I'll show you how to add bullet points in Excel the right way: real bullets, stacked neatly inside a single cell. I'll do it with Guidy, an AI assistant my team and I built that shows you exactly what to press, right on your screen.
Here's what we'll do:
Select your cell and press F2 to edit inside it (so the bullet lands in the cell, not a new one)
Press Alt + 7, or Alt + 0149 on the number pad, to drop in a bullet
Type your item, then press Alt + Enter to start a new line in the same cell
Repeat the bullet shortcut for each line until your whole list is bulleted
One quick note: the Alt + 7 shortcut uses the numeric keypad, so on a laptop without one, turn on Num Lock or use Alt + 0149. Ask Guidy, follow along, and get a clean bulleted list in under a minute.
